JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Senior Sales Engineer to lead and expand our Mechanical Division serving the Oil & Gas sector in Bahrain. This role demands a highly driven professional with a deep understanding of mechanical systems and a strong track record in business development, client relationship management, and sales leadership. The successful candidate will drive regional sales strategies, mentor a high-performing sales team, and cultivate enduring partnerships with key clients across the Oil & Gas, Power, and Petrochemical industries.
Key Responsibilities & Objectives:
• Strategic Sales Leadership
- Define and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to the sales team.
- Champion a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify new business opportunities and market segments within the energy and industrial sectors.
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key Clients and EPC Contractors.
• Technical & Commercial Expertise
- Leverage in-depth technical knowledge of mechanical systems (valves, actuators, instrumentation, gaskets, expansion joints, and more) to tailor value-driven proposals.
- Oversee bid submissions, pricing strategies, and commercial negotiations for large-scale projects.
• Contract & Payment Management:
- Negotiate, draft, and execute contracts for products sales, ensuring alignment with company policies and market demands.
- Oversee manufacturing-to-delivery processes, ensuring timely supply chain fulfilment and payment collection to maintain healthy cash flow.
• Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
- Monitor market dynamics, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to inform strategic direction.
- Deliver data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
• Client Engagement & Reporting
- Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and exhibitions.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline status, and periodic performance reports to executive management.
Requirements:
• Experience: Proven leadership and success in sales within the Oil & Gas industry with minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a sales management or leadership role.• Technical Skills: Deep familiarity with mechanical components used in energy and process industries.
• Soft Skills: Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and negotiation skills.
• Industry Networking: Established professional network across Oil & Gas clients in the region.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is a must.
• Education: A Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Driving License: Driving license required.
