About the Company:
Our group is a recognized player in the international trading of petroleum and energy products. As part of our growth, we are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Oil Trader with a strong understanding of international markets.
Main Responsibilities:
• Buy and sell crude and refined petroleum products on international markets
• Negotiate sales, transport, and storage contracts with counterparties
• Monitor and analyze markets (prices, inventories, logistics, geopolitics) to optimize trading positions
• Manage risks associated with operations (financial, logistical, legal)
• Work closely with back-office, logistics, and finance teams
• Develop and maintain a strong commercial network with producers, refiners, traders, and shipowners
Requirements:
Profile Sought:• Higher education degree in business, finance, energy, or equivalent field
• Minimum 10 to 15 years of successful experience as an oil trader (physical or derivatives)
• Excellent knowledge of international oil markets and trading/hedging instruments (futures, options, swaps)
• Full professional proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken
• Strong negotiation skills, responsiveness, rigor, and initiative
• High stress tolerance and strong results orientation
