JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
• Oversee day-to-day client deposits, withdrawals, and settlements for both fiat and crypto.
• Perform daily reconciliations of bank accounts, crypto wallets, and transaction ledgers.
• Handle reconciliation and reporting for payment processors (including card processors), ensuring accuracy of fees, settlements, and chargebacks.
• Act as the primary point of contact with banks, payment processors, and liquidity providers.
• Manage company liquidity, FX execution, and funding requirements across various accounts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee month-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company and client funds.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with compliance, technology, and customer support to streamline operational workflows.
• Identify and drive process improvements, including automation of finance and operations functions.
• Support new product launches and operational processes with financial insight and input.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.• 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in finance and/or operations within financial services, fintech, or brokerage.
• Proven track record in month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with banking operations, payment processors (including card processors), and settlement processes.
• Solid understanding of treasury management, liquidity planning, and FX execution.
• Prior experience working with regulators (e.g., Central Bank of Bahrain, VARA) is a plus.
• Exposure to ERP or financial systems implementation and/or process automation is desirable.
• Prior experience in a crypto exchange, digital assets, or blockchain-related financial operations is a strong advantage.
• Advanced Excel and strong financial analysis capabilities.
• High attention to detail, with integrity and accountability in handling client funds.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of crypto wallets, blockchain settlement flows, and crypto reconciliations.
• Familiarity with chargeback handling and card scheme rules.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage external relationships (banks, payment providers, liquidity partners).
