JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We’re working with a leading international infrastructure contractor to recruit an experienced Field Erection Superintendent to take a key role in the supervision and delivery of major bridge and viaduct projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise in segmental bridge construction and the erection/launching of precast deck segments. You’ll be working on complex, large-scale projects that demand precision, safety, and coordination at the highest level.\
The Role
• Oversee the erection and launching of precast deck segments for bridges, viaducts, and elevated structures.
• Coordinate specialized lifting and erection equipment – including segment launchers, cranes, gantries, and heavy lifting systems.
• Review shop drawings, erection plans, and construction sequences with the technical team to ensure feasibility and compliance with site conditions.
• Manage all stages of the erection process: preparation, lifting, alignment, stressing, and inspection.
• Enforce strict health & safety standards, ensuring correct PPE use and adherence to operational procedures.
• Produce accurate site reports, track progress, and identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Mentor and train site teams, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
• 10+ years’ proven experience in a similar role within segmental bridge erection or large-scale infrastructure projects.• Strong knowledge of lifting, launching, and pushing techniques using cranes, trolleys, or launching girders.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction documents.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Track record of delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality results.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
Preferred:
• Technical diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Crane Operator Licence and driving licence.
• Experience on major bridges, tunnels, rail, or metro projects.

6,000 to 7,000
