Description
Optimiza is looking for a skilled and experienced monitoring and evaluation senior officer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing robust monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks to assess the performance and impact of our projects. Your insights will help drive evidence-based decision-making and enhance the effectiveness of our programs.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the design and execution of comprehensive monitoring and evaluation strategies that align with organizational objectives.
- Develop and refine M&E frameworks, indicators, and tools tailored to specific projects and initiatives.
- Conduct regular data collection, analysis, and synthesis to measure project outcomes, performance, and impact.
- Prepare high-quality evaluation reports and presentations that summarize findings, provide recommendations, and facilitate learning.
- Work closely with project teams to integrate M&E findings into program planning and implementation.
- Provide technical guidance and capacity building to staff on M&E processes and best practices.
- Engage with stakeholders to share M&E results and promote a culture of learning and adaptation.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social sciences, public administration, development studies, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation within development or non-profit sectors.
- Strong methodological skills in quantitative and qualitative evaluation techniques.
- Proficient in data management and analysis software, such as SPSS, STATA, or similar tools.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and stakeholder interaction.
- Demonstrated experience in capacity building related to monitoring and evaluation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
