Job description
Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We're seeking a talented and passionate Chef De Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team in Movenpick, Beirut. As a key member of our culinary staff, you'll play a crucial role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes according to menu specifications and restaurant standards
- Manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring smooth operations and timely food delivery
- Collaborate with the sous chef and other team members to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes
- Ensure proper food storage, handling, and rotation to maintain freshness and minimize waste
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team atmosphere
- Participate in inventory management and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Continuously improve culinary skills and stay updated on industry trends and techniques
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef De Partie or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques
- Excellent understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Outstanding teamwork and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in mentoring junior staff
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
