JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Guildhall is seeking a Cost Control Manager to lead the financial planning and cost management function across our client's catering and facilities operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing budgets, monitoring performance, and driving cost optimization initiatives across all business units to ensure operational efficiency and financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Track actual performance versus budget, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions to management.
• Implement and strengthen cost-control measures across food, labor, and overheads, ensuring adherence to budgetary targets.
• Enhance procurement and inventory controls, ensuring accurate pricing, usage tracking, and minimizing wastage.
• Lead initiatives to optimize cost reporting tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for real-time financial visibility.
• Prepare and present periodic management reports to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and company policies.
• Build the financial awareness and accountability of site teams through training and consistent performance monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with operations, procurement, and finance teams to streamline financial processes and reporting accuracy.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.• 7–8+ years of experience in cost control, FP&A, or management accounting, preferably within the catering, facilities management, or hospitality industries.
• Strong understanding of costing methodologies, variance analysis, and budgeting principles.
• Proficiency in Excel (advanced level) and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-site operational environment.
