JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Monitor, evaluate, and optimize the chemical treatment processes for water and wastewater operations.
Analyze water samples and process data to maintain compliance with operational and regulatory standards.
Ensure proper chemical dosing, storage, and handling in accordance with safety and environmental procedures.
Support the operation of systems such as coagulation, flocculation, filtration, disinfection, and reverse osmosis (RO).
Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to chemical processes.
Troubleshoot process deviations and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and laboratory teams to maintain plant reliability and efficiency.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and implement cost-saving measures for chemical consumption.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and company policies.
Prepare technical reports, chemical usage summaries, and operational performance analyses.
Provide technical support during commissioning, shutdowns, and major maintenance activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.Minimum 2–5 years of experience in water or wastewater treatment operations.
Knowledge of water chemistry
Familiarity with process control and monitoring systems (e.g., SCADA).
Strong understanding of HSE regulations and safe chemical handling practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with process simulation or data analysis software is a plus.
