Job Title: Head of Legal, Compliance & Risk Management
Reports To: CEO – Chief Executive Officer

We are seeking a strategic, experienced, and dynamic Head of Legal, Compliance & Risk Management to join our leadership team and drive the organization’s legal, compliance, and risk frameworks.
Job Purpose:
The Head of Legal, Compliance & Risk Management will serve as a key strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team. This role ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards while mitigating legal and regulatory risks. The role also encompasses oversight of contracts, risk management, governance, AML compliance, and board secretarial responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic legal counsel to the CEO, executive team, and board of directors.
• Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive compliance programs, policies, and procedures, including AML, sanctions, and data protection.
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and agreements, developing templates to streamline processes.
• Lead enterprise risk management initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Maintain proactive relationships with regulatory authorities, auditors, and external legal advisors.
• Act as Board Secretary, managing meetings, governance processes, and communication between management and the board.
• Deliver training programs to foster a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.
• Conduct market and regulatory research to anticipate legal and compliance risks.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree (Strategic/General Management or Law) with globally recognized insurance qualification preferred.• Minimum 10 years’ experience in legal, compliance, and risk management roles, preferably within MEA region (UAE experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of regulatory, legal, and governance requirements, particularly in insurance/reinsurance and health insurance sectors.
• Proven experience working with Boards of Directors.
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
