Position Title: Head of Quality Control – Paints Manufacturing

About the Client:
A pioneering petrochemical manufacturer and trader of paints, coatings, resins, adhesives, and construction chemicals with factories and operations spanning the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
Job Description:
-Lead and oversee all quality control operations across raw materials, in-process production, and finished paints/coatings; implement and enforce SOPs, ISO/ASTM standards, and regulatory compliance to ensure consistent product performance, safety, and durability.
-Manage and supervise laboratory testing and inspection activities, including formulation analysis, color matching, viscosity checks, adhesion, weathering, and durability tests
-Develop and implement quality management systems (QMS) including documentation, audits, CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions), and root cause analysis
-Lead, mentor, and train QC staff to build technical capability and ensure adherence to best practices; coordinate with suppliers and customers on quality issues, support new product trials, and provide technical feedback to enhance product quality and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
-Preferably 42 years old and below, fluent in Asian or Arabic language.-Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
-Minimum 8 years’ progressive experience in QC/QA within the paints, coatings, or chemical manufacturing industry.
-Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ASTM, BS, and other international paint/coating standards and proven leadership in managing QC teams, labs, and cross-functional quality initiatives.
