JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
· Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate general ledger maintenance.
· Prepare DSR and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS.
· Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing, including accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
· Maintain fixed asset registers and oversee depreciation accounting and capitalization procedures.
· Prepare schedules and reconciliations for audits, management reviews, and statutory filings.
· Review and reconcile all balance sheet and intercompany accounts.
· Assist in the finalization of accounts and coordinate with external auditors.
· Monitor accounting accuracy across all modules (AP, AR, GL, and inventory).
· Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and reporting timelines.
2. UAE Regulatory & Statutory Compliance
· Handle VAT filing, reconciliation, and compliance with FTA regulations.
· Oversee WPS (Wage Protection System) payroll processing and ensure timely salary transfers.
· Coordinate with Free Zone authorities or Mainland entities for license renewals, audits, and statutory updates.
3. Costing & Inventory Management
· Prepare product costing reports, variance analysis, and production cost allocation.
· Review consumption reports, wastage, and overhead absorption for manufacturing operations.
· Work closely with production and procurement teams to optimize cost efficiency.
4. MIS & Management Reporting
· Generate and analyze monthly MIS reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and ratios).
· Conduct budgeting and forecasting and support management in decision-making.
· Present key performance and variance analysis reports to management.
5. Banking, Letter of Credit & Treasury
· Handle LC (Letter of Credit) documentation, amendments, and settlements with banks.
· Manage daily cash flow, bank reconciliations, and fund transfers.
· Monitor and manage short-term and long-term financing facilities.
6. Payroll & Employee Accounting
· Oversee payroll accounting, employee advances, end-of-service benefits (EOSB), and leave settlements.
· Ensure accuracy of WPS uploads and compliance with MOL and Free Zone requirements.
7. Internal Control & Audit
· Implement and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
· Ensure accounting policies are followed consistently across departments.
· Support external and internal audits with all required documentation.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA preferred).• Minimum 5–8 years of UAE experience in accounting (preferably in manufacturing Industry).
• Proficient in VAT, Corporate Tax, WPS, LC handling, MIS reporting, and costing.
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS, ERP systems and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of UAE statutory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
