JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Technical Knowledge & Skills
• Codes & Standards Expertise: In-depth understanding and proficient application of Dubai Municipality (DM), Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) regulations, and international standards (e.g., ACI, ASTM, BS).
• Drawings & Documentation: Excellent ability to read, interpret, review, and develop structural drawings. Proficient in preparing various construction reports, daily reports, and inspection/submittal documents (e.g., RFI, MIR, SAR).
• Software Skills: Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel and Project) and AutoCAD. Familiarity with BIM concepts and common collaboration platforms (e.g., BIM 360) is preferred.
• Construction Methods: Knowledge of advanced construction techniques used in super-tall buildings, climbing formwork systems, and coordination of tower cranes and construction hoists.
Requirements:
Education & Professional Qualifications• Mandatory: Bachelor's degree (B.Sc. or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Highly Preferred: Engineer accredited/registered with the UAE Society of Engineers (SOE) (i.e., holds a valid SOE membership card).
Professional Experience
• Mandatory: Minimum 5-8 years of site construction management experience on large-scale building projects within the UAE (or other GCC countries).
• Core Requirement: Must have complete project experience on at least 1-2 super-tall building projects (typically 150m+) in Dubai/UAE, with familiarity of their unique construction processes and challenges.
• Areas of Experience: Substantial practical experience in high-rise building structures, reinforced concrete works, MEP coordination in super-tall buildings, and vertical transport logistics.
Language Proficiency
• Fluent English is an absolute necessity for written communication, meetings, technical documentation, and collaboration with multi-national teams.
• Knowledge of Arabic is a distinct advantage for facilitating communication with local authorities, subcontractors, and labor.
Soft Skills & Personal Attributes
• Excellent Communication & Coordination: Ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultant engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal trades (structural, MEP, etc.).
• Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of anticipating site issues and rapidly proposing practical solutions.
• Leadership & Team Management: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a small team of engineers, foremen, and workers.
• Detail-Oriented & Quality-Conscious: Maintains high standards for construction quality and is familiar with international Quality Control/Assurance (QC/QA) processes.
• Resilience & Adaptability: Ability to thrive in the fast-paced, high-pressure environment of super-tall projects and adapt flexibly to changing work challenges.
• Cultural Sensitivity: Capable of working effectively in a multi-cultural environment, respecting and understanding the diverse cultures and work styles of colleagues
Salary:
AED
3,500 to 9,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
