JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Position Overview:
A dynamic & detail-oriented EIT engineer with expertise in Pre-commissioning activities. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of both the engineering & a solid foundation in pre-commissioning processes. The ideal candidate will be able to provide support in ensuring smooth execution of pre-commissioning activities across various engineering systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Commissioning Activities:
• Master the CPY OPERCOMT system and implement telecom pre-commissioning activities according to project requirements.
• Witness conformity checks and static tests during the pre-commissioning phase.
• Verify the installation and testing of telecom systems, such as fiber optics, microwave links, cellular networks, satellite communications, etc.
• Perform end-to-end testing of telecom subsystems, including LAN/WAN networks, VoIP systems, wireless infrastructure, GA system and CCTV systems.
• Develop pre-commissioning schedules, test procedures, instrument submissions (e.g., handover dossiers, RFC certificates) to the company.
• Document deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and verify successful resolution.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, such as ISA, IEC61511 for safety, API standards in oil and gas).
• Facilitate the handover of systems from construction teams to commissioning teams.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues encountered during pre-commissioning.
• Coordinate with various teams to clear instrument punch lists and ensure timely progress.
Documentation & Coordination:
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, designers, and contractors to resolve cost-related issues and ensure smooth integration of cost management and pre-commissioning activities.
• Maintain organized documentation of project cost data, pre-commissioning test results, and project timelines.
Requirements:
Education:• Bachelor’s degree in EIT or communication engineering, or a related field. (Diploma holder with relevant experience or impressive certification will be considered).
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), CAD, and any other tools required by the role.
• Familiarity with telecom pre-commissioning tools and systems.
• Basic knowledge of installation cost policies, EIT standard pricing systems, and tendering processes.
• Familiarity with BQ preparation.
• Strong understanding of industry standards such as ISA, IEC61511, and API standards (oil and gas) for safety and quality assurance.
Experience:
• A minimum of 5 years in industrial construction or engineering projects, with at least 1 year of direct pre-commissioning experience.
• 10 years of experience in EIT quantity surveying, cost estimation, or related fields is preferred.
Soft Skills:
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
• Strong teamwork abilities with a capacity to adapt to site environments and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to perform other tasks as assigned by the department manager.
• Hardworking, honest, and self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
