JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We’re seeking a diligent Cashier to manage day-to-day cash operations at an oil & gas EPC project site in Uzbekistan. You will handle petty cash and cash advances, process bank deposits and withdrawals, maintain accurate records of invoices/receipts, and coordinate closely with the Finance/Accounting team for monthly closing and reconciliations.
Key duties include:
–Administer daily cash transactions, issue/settle cash advances, and maintain petty-cash logs with supporting documents.
–Prepare, record, and file invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers; ensure completeness and compliance with company policies.
–Execute basic banking tasks (deposits, withdrawals, payment orders), track balances, and liaise with bank representatives as needed.
–Enter transactions into the finance system, keep cashbooks up to date, and support accruals/adjustments for month-end close.
–Perform daily/weekly cash counts and monthly bank & cash reconciliations; promptly resolve discrepancies.
–Coordinate with procurement/site departments to match payments with POs/GRNs and obtain necessary approvals.
–Support audits by organizing documents and responding to auditor requests.
Requirements:
–Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; formal training in accounting, finance, or business administration is an advantage.–Minimum 3 years’ proven experience in cashier, treasury, or accounting support roles; prior work in oil & gas, EPC, or large construction projects preferred.
–Proficient in cash handling, petty cash management, and reconciliation procedures, with strong numerical accuracy and record-keeping skills.
–Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting/ERP software; able to generate and maintain accurate transaction logs.
–High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail; capable of working under pressure in site-based environments.
–Knowledge of Russian or Uzbek is a strong plus for effective local communication.
