Senior Infra & Security Architect (Infrastructure, Security & GRC)

Strategic Context
The Enterprise Architecture (EA) function is the strategic gatekeeper for all technology initiatives across the organization. It ensures that every system, program, and transformation aligns with business strategy, regulatory compliance, and enterprise-wide standards.
The Senior Infra & Security Architect (Infrastructure, Security & GRC) will play a critical role within this function, acting as the authority for design and architecture reviews. The role spans new initiatives, existing platforms, operational systems, and implementation projects, ensuring all technology decisions are strategically aligned, secure, compliant, resilient, and sustainable.
This is a governance-heavy role with deep technical accountability: the successful candidate must bring experience in design, architecture, and operations across hybrid and multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP, OCI), combined with mastery of information security and GRC frameworks.

Scope of the Role:
The role spans multiple dimensions of the enterprise:
1. Architecture Governance & Gatekeeping
o Enforce architecture as a control point for all strategic initiatives.
o Serve as the final reviewer and approver of architecture blueprints, implementation plans, and operational handovers.
o Guarantee that all initiatives are compliant with:
? Enterprise principles (standardization, reuse, interoperability).
? Security frameworks (Zero Trust, IAM, data protection).
? Regulatory obligations (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, national/NIA standards).
2. Strategic Oversight
o Govern the full lifecycle of initiatives: conception, design, implementation, and ongoing operations.
o Provide enterprise-wide impact analysis, ensuring investments deliver business value and avoid duplication.
o Act as a bridge between executive strategy and operational delivery.
3. Technology Leadership
o Lead multi-cloud strategy across Azure, GCP, and OCI, balancing scalability, performance, cost, and security.
o Drive modernization of data centers, enterprise networking, and workload hosting.
o Champion adoption of cloud-native, secure-by-design patterns.
4. Information Security & GRC Integration
o Embed risk management and compliance into every architectural decision.
o Partner with CISO, GRC, and risk management teams to ensure alignment across audits and regulatory frameworks.
o Establish traceability between architecture designs and risk mitigations.
5. Operational Alignment
o Oversee resiliency, DR/BCP, and operational readiness as non-negotiable design outcomes.
o Support transition from design into day-to-day operations, ensuring continuity and sustainability.
o Mentor architects and engineers to uplift capabilities in architecture discipline.

Key Accountabilities:
• Governance & Gatekeeping
o Review and sign off all architecture submissions for strategic initiatives.
o Maintain an enterprise-level architecture review board (ARB) presence.
o Escalate and resolve conflicts between business demand and enterprise principles.
• Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture
o Provide reference architectures for hybrid and multi-cloud deployments.
o Ensure consistent patterns across Azure, GCP, and OCI deployments.
o Align infrastructure modernization with long-term sustainability and security.
• Security & GRC Architecture
o Translate security and compliance requirements into practical architecture controls.
o Ensure IAM, encryption, monitoring, and logging are integrated by design.
o Support regulatory audits with evidence of architectural compliance.
• Enterprise Engagement
o Advise executive leadership on technology risks and opportunities.
o Collaborate with delivery teams, operations, and external partners.
o Represent the EA function in steering committees and strategic boards.
