Material Engineers (Plumbing & HVAC)

Material Engineers HVAC and Plumbing field typically focuses on procurement, inventory management, and logistical coordination of all necessary equipment and supplies. The role ensures that the right materials are available at the right time for installation, maintenance, and repair projects, maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards. 

Procurement & Ordering: Order and purchase all necessary HVAC and plumbing equipment, parts, and consumables, ensuring they meet project specifications and quality standards.
Inventory Management: Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or other computerized systems. Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to reconcile stock discrepancies.
Receiving & Storage: Oversee the receiving, inspection, storage, and distribution of incoming materials and equipment, ensuring safe and organized warehousing.
Logistics & Distribution: Coordinate the movement of materials from the warehouse to various job sites or between departments, ensuring timely delivery to meet project schedules.
Supplier & Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiate pricing, track performance, and resolve any supply chain issues or delivery problems.
Cost Control & Efficiency: Monitor material usage to minimize waste, control costs, and align inventory levels with demand and budget targets.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed logs of all material transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and material test certificates. Prepare reports on inventory status, project progress, and material costs for management.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all material handling procedures and storage comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, local building codes).
