JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
• Operate Crane: Manipulate levers, pedals, and buttons to control the crane's speed and direction for lifting and moving loads precisely.
• Pre-Operational Inspections: Perform daily checks on the crane and its systems to ensure it is in safe and optimal working condition.
• Load Management: Determine load weights and capacities, and correctly attach loads to the crane before moving them.
• Site Setup: Place outriggers and blocks to stabilize the crane and prevent tipping, especially when handling heavy loads.
• Communication: Follow verbal or signal instructions from other workers (like a banksman or signalperson) to ensure accurate and safe movement of materials.
• Maintenance: Perform minor repairs on the crane, such as bolting boom sections together, and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Documentation: Maintain logs of material movements, complete job tickets, and submit other necessary paperwork related to operations.
Requirements:
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating various types of cranes (mobile, tower, etc.).• Safety Awareness: A strong understanding of safety regulations, load capacities, and rigging techniques.
• Communication: Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with ground crew.
• Physical Stamina: The role can be physically demanding.
Salary:
AED
2,800 to 3,200
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
