JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented Financial Consultant with hands-on experience in bookkeeping, month-end closing, financial statement preparation, and bank reconciliations. The role requires strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to support end-to-end financial processes. Candidates with prior experience in the power or energy sector and exposure to a Big 4 accounting firm will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records including journal entries, AP/AR, and general ledger functions.
• Execute monthly and yearly closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare financial statements including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Conduct thorough bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including auditors and senior management, to support financial reporting and decision-making.
• Assist in the development and enforcement of financial policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
• Drive process improvements to enhance financial accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Requirements:
• Professional Qualification: ACCA, CA, or CPA – fully or partially qualified.• Minimum 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
• Strong background in consolidation and financial reporting is a must.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and engage with stakeholders at various levels.
• Experience in the power or energy industry will be considered an asset.
• Previous Big 4 experience will add significant value.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
Salary:
AED
11,000 to 14,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
