JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Hands-on pottery wheel throw instructor who is willing to work with kids and adults. An ideal candidate will be a team player who is comfortable working independently in and conducting classes, as well as being part of the larger team that understands the needs of the pottery studio.
About Us:
An established Summer Camp across the US is looking to hire a Pottery instructor. Our youth camp is dedicated to providing an exceptional summer camp experience for students of all ages and skill levels. We are seeking passionate Full-Time Pottery Instructors to join our team.
• Applications are open to international candidates.
• Rotating Shifts - 6 days a week.
• Work starts in June 2026
• Application deadline is December 31, 2025
• This is a salary, plus the offer includes employment visas and medical insurance for eligible candidates.
• Accommodation+three meals+ training are FREE.
Requirements:
• Instruct pottery classes with integrity• Keeps the studio organized, clean and safe for instructors and participants
• Able to follow the schedule
• Assist with inventory management and notify the studio director when supplies are running low.
• Assists the studio team
• Work with adults or kids to teach them how to throw on a wheel
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIES
• Experience of loading and unloading the kiln
• Ability to work well with kids and adults from different backgrounds.
• Work independently without direct supervision, leading a group of adults, encouraging them to create pottery and glaze their pieces.
• Great customer service experience or knowledge
• Functions as a pottery instructor and works to keep their class operational.
• Handle sensitive or stressful situations with tact, diplomacy and a friendly way.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Required to regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk and hear and frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, push, pull, crawl or withstand extended periods of standing or moving about.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Salary:
USD
500 to 600
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
