JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Planning Control Manager with a strong background in Oil & Gas EPC projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules, ensuring effective cost and progress management, and providing support in claims and contractual matters.
Key Responsibilities:
–Develop and maintain project master schedules using Primavera P6.
–Monitor and control project progress to ensure alignment with milestones and contractual requirements.
–Establish and manage the project/activity Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure.
–Identify deviations and delays, propose corrective measures, and ensure timely project delivery.
–Prepare and support claims and contractual justifications in line with FIDIC and EPC practices.
–Coordinate across engineering, procurement, construction, and commercial teams to ensure integrated execution.
–Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports and provide updates to project management and stakeholders, highlighting progress, trends, critical issues, and forecasts.
–Manage the change control process, evaluating the impact of variations and securing necessary approvals
–Identify potential project risks and opportunities, and work with teams to develop mitigation and capture plans.
Requirements:
–Bachelor's degree or above in any discipline.–A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in project controls, planning, scheduling within the Oil & Gas industry.
–Expert-level proficiency in industry-standard planning and scheduling software.
–Strong understanding of key industry concepts: Earned Value Management (EVM), Risk Analysis, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS)
–Excellent coordination and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
–Strong capability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and solve problems.
–Arabic language skills is preferred.
